Notes: Welcome to the skill development sign up sheet. Please see calendar below for the dates and times available for your daughter to further their skills. DO NOT come to a skill development session if it interferes with an actual Lady Royals practice time for your daughter. Each week we will list the upcoming week’s schedule so you can plan ahead. The idea and plan is for your daughter to have 1-2 practices per week with addition of up to 2 skills sessions. See below for further instructions:
- Each Sunday we will update the schedule if anything needs changing or fixing for the week ahead (hope to have gym space and times on a consistent basis).
- Please sign up your daughter 24 hours in advance so we can plan each workout accordingly.
- All players are asked to bring a basketball to their workout!
- You will only be allowed to sign up for each week, you cannot sign up for weeks ahead.
- Each player can come to up to TWO sessions per week. More days will be offered as the season progresses and once teams are final.

- Erase “of child” and type in your child’s name
- It will automatically save and you are all set
- Again, thank you for being a part of the Lady Royal Program. We are excited to offer more opportunities for your child to be in the gym and get better. Please be patient with us and the sign up sheet. It is our first time and we may end up changing some things, but for now this is how we are going to start the process. THANK YOU.

Welcome to the Lady Royals Shot Club challenge! We challenge all our players to shoot consistent game like shots several times a week. We want you to track the number and type of shots you take each day. All Lady Royal Club members automatically become part of our shot club!
2024 is going to be a great opportunity for you to continue to build on your many successes during our season as well as turning some of your weaknesses into strengths. The goal of the Shot Club is to develop the confidence in your shot to succeed in game situations because you put the time in to improve your game. Our Spring/Summer shot club will run from April 1 to July 31. We will begin another shot club for our Fall/Winter season!
Qualifications and Rules:
- Players are encouraged to shoot individually several times a week. A shooting workout should include a minimum of 150 or more shots. If you have a rebounder, you can shoot 150 shots in approximately 30 minutes. 150 shots daily x 7 days a week =1050 shots weekly. This is not difficult if you develop a consistent habit to shoot every day.
- Players must keep a log of their shooting workouts and have them verified by a parent/guardian.
- All shooting workouts must involve a minimum of 150 shots to count towards the challenge.
- You must shoot game shots at game speed.
- Free throws should be included in your shooting workout.
- Challenge yourself to work on your shot consistently, instead of having your coach remind you to shoot on your off days.
What are game shots?
You should shoot all your shots at GAME SPEED (full speed) because that is what will help you become a better player during our season.
What type of shots should I work on?
It is important to develop your overall game. All players should have the ability to shoot three-pointers, pull-up jump shots, and post finishes. Our best advice is to include all types of shots into your workouts. Check in with your team’s coach for a list of the type of shots you should be working on.
Do Free Throws Count?
We want ALL Lady Royals to be GREAT free throw shooters! Free throws are a great way to rest during a shooting workout. The best advice is to use free throws as your break. When you take shots at game speed for a long period of time, you will need to rest. Shoot 10 free throws when you’re tired and then return to the workout.
Can I just guess how many shots I attempted?
No! Once you have your routine it should be easy to count your shots. If you shoot sets of 30 shots at game speed, followed by 10 free throws, completing 4 cycles of that will give you 120 shots and 40 free throws. It is your choice to count shots attempted or to track the number of shots you make as well. Tracking your made shots is a great to watch your progress!
Does my parent have to watch me shoot every shot?
No. Your parent needs to only verify that to the best of their knowledge you had the time/opportunity to shoot your shots. If they want to help that is welcome but not required. If your parent wants to rebound for you, he or she may certainly do so. Players need to be sure to relocate after every shot. Again, it is important to shoot shots at GAME SPEED (full speed).

Reach the Lady Royal Shot Club Bronze level by attempting 5000 shots
Reach the Lady Royal Shot Club Silver level by attempting 7500 shots
Reach the Lady Royal Shot Club Gold level by attempting 10000 shots
Reach the Lady Royal Shot Club Showcase level by attempting 12500 shots
Reach the Lady Royal Shot Club Elite level by attempting 15000 shots
Players receive Lady Royals swag each time they hit one of the above levels!
